Asus Drops ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDMS Monitor in China

Asus has started selling its new ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDMS gaming screen, with China being the first place to get it. This monitor brings together a QHD (1440p) screen and a 280 Hz refresh rate, and starts at a low price.

Key Details

This is a 27-inch screen with a QD-OLED panel. Here are its main features:

  • Screen: 1440p (QHD)
  • Refresh Rate: 280 Hz
  • Speed of Response: 0.03 ms GtG
  • Light: 250 nits (whole screen)
  • HDR Light: 1,000 nits (at 3% APL)

This screen fits into the Asus family, with a refresh rate that sits between the existing ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMG and XG27ACDNG models.

First Price in China

It first went up for sale on the Chinese site JD.com at 3,999 CNY (about $557 USD). Some areas have prices as low as 3,400 CNY (about $474 USD).

This price is very good for where it is sold. As a point of comparison, the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMG goes for about 3,499 CNY (~$488) in China, and the XG27ACDNG for 5,999 CNY (~$836). The new screen's launch price makes it very good to buy.

What Can Happen When It Sells Elsewhere

Even though the price in China is great, it might not be the same elsewhere. For example, the XG27AQDMG costs about $488 in China, but it has a $699 price tag in the US. But, the low start price means Asus plans to make the XG27ACDMS cheap when it sells it all over the world.

Right now, we don't know when the ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDMS will sell in Europe, North America, or other places.
