Intel Core i9 14900KF Overclocking Record Reaches 9206 MHz With Liquid Helium Cooling On ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Apex Motherboard
Overclocker wytiwx set a new global frequency milestone by overclocking an Intel Core i9 14900KF processor to a stunning 9206.34 MHz. The overclocker's feat ranks 1st in the world of 16118 submitted entries on the global list of rankings, reaching 170% of the clock speed in the submission report of Elite League verification, while using only 8 performance cores of the Raptor Lake architecture.
The hardware required a setup for a very high electrical load and required the best conditions in order to maintain stability at extreme speeds. Liquid Helium was used as cooling agent along with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut Extreme thermal paste to transfer heat away from the processor and the mother board used in this event was an ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Apex which is built specifically for extreme frequencies. The motherboard chipset used for the task was the Z790 and the RAM installed on the system was a DDR5 SDRAM.
A 1600Watt ASUS ROG THOR Gaming power supply was used for a stable and efficient transfer of electricity. Liquid Helium was used to maintain a sub zero environment of the CPU whereas a custom air setup was used to maintain the mother board at optimal conditions.
At the absolute peak the overclocker reached rank 1st in the global standing, this has given the user a point score of 161.0 points for the world rank. Also this submission places the overclocker at the 1st rank on the Intel Core i9 14900KF tier out of 20 ranked entries, and has provided the user with 500.0 points towards the global team power rank, and this submission has been verified to contain a 9206.34MHz frequency.
