- Dynamic Boss Fights: Boss encounters are designed to be more epic, featuring multi-phase battles and more dynamic abilities.
- Expanded Companion System: Players could now "assimilate" companions to receive passive buffs and hire extra powers. Each of the companions grants their own unique abilities; the revenant Lou can control time.
Paradigm and Exploration Orientation
Code Vein II features increased narrative development in regards to time travel, with its main characters time traveling back to change the future for themselves. World exploration was made much more interactive as well, with objects found in maps that can unlock other areas. A new crafting mechanic would enable players to create buffs and healing items by utilizing consumable items such as flour.
