Marvel's Wolverine Gameplay Revealed with Fall 2026 Release Window

After four years since its initial announcement and lot of leaks, the first official gameplay trailer for Insomniac Games' Marvel's Wolverine was revealed during the latest State of Play presentation. The footage provided a significant look at the game's combat, environments, and core characters.

Intense and Brutal Gameplay Unveiled

The newfound trailer unveiled the combat system of the game, which seems to be very brutal and intense. It depicts the action as blood-dripping and moving very fast, very much like other blood action series, "Ninja Gaiden." The footage also provides views of the different environments Logan is going to travel on during the adventure.

Members of the development team, including Creative Director Marcus Smith, emphasized the great care being taken to create that authentic Wolverine experience with a high level of detail.

Characters and Voice Cast Confirmed

Other names of popular Marvel personas also confirmed their presence, namely Mystique and Omega Red. Additionally, the casting of Australian actor Liam McIntyre as Wolverine has also been revealed. McIntyre is also popularly known for his roles as Spartacus in the TV series under the same title, JD Fenix in "Gears of War 4" and "Gears 5," and Taron Malico in "Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order."

Release Date and Future Information

Insomniac Games and Sony affirmed that the title Marvel's Wolverine will be available on PlayStation 5 in Fall 2026. According to the development team, other details regarding the game will be shared in the Spring of 2026.
