Boox Refreshes the Note Series with Productivity-Centric Note Air5 C
Boox upgrades its Note line of E Ink tablets by introducing the Note Air5 C. This model, while a successor to last year's Note Air4 C, bears striking similarities in design but adds a key productivity improvement attachment via a keyboard cover.
Keyboard Cover The Big Change
Pogo pins on the back are the biggest addition of the Note Air5 C. These thus serve the function of connecting the tablet directly to a newly released magnetic keyboard cover accessory, enabling notebook-style typing of emails or articles. Sold separately for $109.99, the cover allows for passthrough charging via USB-C while attached to the tablet.
Display and Core Specs
This tablet features a 10.3-inch Kaleido 3 color ePaper display with an anti-glare coating and adjustable front lighting. As for the chassis, it sports asymmetrical design with a thicker bezel on one side, which allows users to hold it comfortably without accidentally touching the screen.
Internally, the Note Air5 C is powered by an unnamed octa-core processor and includes:
- 6GB of RAM
- 64GB of expandable storage
- 3,700mAh battery
The tablet is shipped with Android 15 and is equipped with speakers and microphones. There is no rear-facing camera for document scanning.
Stylus Support and Other Features
As with its predecessor, the Note Air5 C stylus also supports being input. It is compatible with Boox Pen3 for 4096 pressure sensitivity, tilt detection, and low latency. Additionally, it has a fingerprint scanner for security.
Pricing, Bundles, and Availability
Boox Note Air5 C is available for purchase for $529.99/€529.99. The price includes the Boox Pen3 stylus with five extra nibs and a protective magnetic case.
For users seeking the complete productivity package, a bundle inclusive of the keyboard cover is on offer—priced at $606.99/€606.99. It represents a saving of about $33/€33 against purchasing all items separately.
