GIGABYTE Launches Gaming A16 Pro and A18 Laptops with RTX 50 Series, AI Agent
The new GIGABYTE Gaming A16 Pro and Gaming A18 laptops have been made available across the world. These machines are for high-performance gaming, with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card options, a new AI assistant called GiMATE, and battery life rated for up to 12 hours.

The two models differ in terms of screen size and internal hardware configuration, providing various user options.
Display
- Gaming A16 Pro: 16-inch WQXGA display with brightness of 400 nits (Max) and highly accurate color reproduction with a 100% sRGB color gamut.
- Gaming A18: An 18-inch WQXGA display with a lower brightness of 300 nits and 100% DCI-P3 encompasses a more comprehensive color gamut.
Both panels have the same refresh rate of 165Hz with a response time of 3ms.
Performance Hardware
- Gaming A16 Pro: Intel Core 7 240H processor configuration can go up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 graphics.
- Gaming A18: runs on the AMD Ryzen 7 260 processor coupled with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060.
Both support up to 64GB DDR5 RAM and 4TB of SSD PCIe NVMe storage.
Main Features and Design
Apart from some primary components, several exciting features have been integrated into GIGABYTE.
- GiMATE AI Agent: Built-in AI assistant that lets users manage system settings, cooling profiles, and privacy features via voice command, and that alone makes this laptop a winner.
- MUX Switch: For manually switching between integrated and discrete graphic for performance or battery life.
- Battery and Connectivity: GIGABYTE Gaming A16 Pro and A18 laptops are powered by a 76 Wh lithium-polymer battery, fast chargeable via USB Type-C. Connectivities offered are Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, HDMI 2.1, and USB 3.2 Type-A & Type-C.
- Cooling System: The WINDFORCE Infinity EX cooling system is integrated into the A16 Pro, featuring a Frost Fan with 158 asymmetric blades.
- Chassis and Keyboard: The A16 Pro weighs around 2.3 kg and goes under 20 mm in thickness. The A18 is about 2.8 kg, with a thickness of 20 mm. Key travel of the keyboard is updated to 1.7 mm with larger keycaps.
