Fallout 4 World Artist Spells His Vision for Fallout 5
While Bethesda is mainly focused on the Fallout 76 sermons, speculation about the fifth main entry in the Fallout series will not cease. A developer who worked on past projects shared his personal insight on the future of the franchise.
Joshua's Ideas for the Future Wasteland Adventure
Wishing to see features in Fallout 5 has come from Joshua Jay, who happens to be a world artist credited for work in both Fallout 4 and Fallout 76. In fact, even as Jay is not directly involved in the development of Fallout 5, he suggested some major additions he would like to see because he believes players would find them enjoyable.
His wishlist includes:
- Vehicles and customization: Basically, cars and trucks for the players, and something quite deep in terms of customizations, like an amalgamation of Starfield's shipbuilding with Crossout's car combat.
- Advanced settlement building: A more involved settlement construction system.
- Detailed structure of crafting for power armors: A truly deep system for designing and personalizing power armors.
"I want to see an extremely detailed power armor design system and a more involved settlement construction system. Cars, trucks, and other moving things would be really cool. That's what I'd like to see."
The Road to Fallout 5
At this stage, it is impossible to tell if these features are going to be included in the final product. Bethesda has said that actual development of Fallout 5 would not happen until after The Elder Scrolls VI was out, that game being the next title in line for Bethesda's release schedule, and no date has been announced for it yet.
