NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 Launch 6X Frame Generation and Dynamic Performance Scaling

NVIDIA has introduced DLSS 4.5 which serves as a new version of their AI performance technology that works with GeForce RTX GPUs. The second generation transformer model in DLSS 4.5 enhances image quality through its ability to create visual content that exceeds native resolution capabilities. The update introduces advanced frame generation capabilities and major path tracing integrations for high profile upcoming titles like 007 First Light and CONTROL Resonant.

New Technologies Dynamic and 6X Multi Frame Generation

DLSS 4.5 delivers its main benefits through two technologies which enable GeForce RTX 50 Series users to experience smoother performance while their graphics maintain maximum efficiency.

Dynamic Multi Frame Generation This feature allows the NVIDIA app and supported games to adjust the frame multiplier in real time. The system automatically maintains frame rates by doing two things first it establishes a specific user target and then it uses the monitor's highest refresh rate to maintain performance.

6X Multi Frame Generation The path traced games mode offers a significant frame rate boost to players who engage in challenging 4K gameplay. The system remains responsive because it uses NVIDIA Reflex technology to handle the increased frame count.

Super Resolution Update The second generation transformer model upgrade has resulted in better visual clarity across all titles which now surpass native resolution quality in blind testing.

UI Enhancement The frame generation model now incorporates additional engine data to ensure that in game user interfaces and static elements remain sharp and flicker free.

Major Game Integrations and Release Dates

NVIDIA has confirmed that over 20 games are adopting DLSS 4.5 and Path Tracing. The two main titles are

007 First Light (May 27)

The game will launch with full Path Tracing and native support for DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation. The title employs Ray Reconstruction which enables it to show maximum environmental details in its spy themed scenes for PC and GeForce NOW cloud streaming.

CONTROL Resonant (Late 2026)

The sequel to CONTROL will introduce Path Tracing and NVIDIA RTX Mega Geometry according to Remedy Entertainment. The game will use the comprehensive DLSS 4.5 suite to create a highly detailed version of ravaged Manhattan which will maintain steady performance.

Star Wars Galactic Racer™ (Late 2026)

The racing game involves repulsor craft which uses Lumen lighting that has been improved through Ray Reconstruction. Day one of the game will offer support for DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution and Dynamic Multi Frame Generation.

Release Timeline for NVIDIA App Beta

Starting March 31 2026 GeForce RTX 50 Series owners can access DLSS 4.5 overrides via the NVIDIA app beta. The feature enables users to activate Dynamic Multi Frame Generation together with 6X Mode in all games that support it. Accessing these features requires GeForce Game Ready Driver 595.79 WHQL or newer.

  • Samson April 8 (Ray Tracing and Super Resolution)
  • Cthulhu The Cosmic Abyss April 16 (DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution)
  • Directive 8020 May 12 (Path Tracing and Dynamic Frame Gen)
  • War Thunder and Where Winds Meet Upgrading to DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution
  • Gray Zone Warfare transitioning to Unreal Engine 5.5 while adding DLSS 4.5 compatibility
