NVIDIA GeForce Hotfix Driver 595.76 Fixes and Performance Improvements

NVIDIA has put out a new hotfix display driver version 595.76. It is based on the Game Ready Driver 595.71 and is meant to fix stability and performance drops in some games and systems.

The 595.76 hotfix aims to fix specific graphics and stability problems in demanding games

  • Resident Evil Requiem An issue causing white glowing things to show up when Subsurface Scattering was on has been taken care of. Path tracing should also run better now.
  • Star Citizen A crash that happened when starting the game has been fixed.
  • GPU Overclocking A problem where boosted graphics cards were capped on voltage not letting the GPU reach its full speed is now fixed.

This driver also fixes a problem for people with older displays. If you have an HDCP 1.x monitor you may have had browser crashes or driver timeouts when watching DRM protected content. Version 595.76 should make things more stable.

This hotfix is for those who are having the problems listed above. If you are not experiencing these issues the older Game Ready Driver is still the go to choice. You can get version 595.76 from the NVIDIA support page.
