Redmi K90 Note 15 Series Prices Increase Following Rising Hardware Component Costs

Redmi K90 and Note 15 Series Pricing Trends Upwards as Rising Hardware Component and Memory Chip Costs Drive Retail Adjustments Across Multiple Specs

The increasing costs of hardware components have prompted some of the best selling devices under the Redmi nomenclature to increase retail prices. Both the Redmi K90 and the Note 15 series have been subjected to a raise in retail prices. The reasons provided by the corporation indicate that hardware components have grown more costly and this has pushed up the cost price of the products with memory chips being the prime reason behind this increase.

All hardware variants of the K90 series saw an across the board retail hike of approximately 200 Yuan or 30 dollars. The company is currently absorbing some of the rising costs of hardware components while adjusting the final retail value. The new pricing structure for the Redmi K90 Standard Edition is as follows:

  • 12GB 256GB 2799 Yuan (approximately $413) [Original price 2599 Yuan or $383]
  • 16GB 256GB 3099 Yuan (approximately $457) [Original price 2899 Yuan or $427]
  • 12GB 512GB 3399 Yuan (approximately $501) [Original price 3199 Yuan or $471]
  • 16GB 512GB 3699 Yuan (approximately $545) [Original price 3499 Yuan or $515]
  • 16GB 1TB 4199 Yuan (approximately $619) [Original price 3999 Yuan or $589]

Apart from a general hike of 45 dollars the Note 15 series also witnessed a redesign of the entry level variant. The corporation has discontinued the previous 6GB Memory 128GB Storage combination which was priced at 1099 yuan about $162. In its place a new 8GB Memory 128GB Storage combination has been introduced at a retail price of 1398.55 yuan about $206.

Other combinations in the series have also seen adjustments to their retail values:

  • 8GB Memory 256GB Storage previously retailing at 1500.39 yuan about $221 has now risen to 1799.11 yuan about $265
  • 12GB Memory 256GB Storage previously retailing at 2002.78 yuan about $295 has now risen to 2301.50 yuan about $339

This shift ensures the brand continues to deliver high quality hardware despite the challenging economic landscape of the semiconductor industry.
