TCL Unveils the Tab A1 Plus Ultra Thin Design and Large Format Display
TCL has officially launched the Tab A1 Plus as its latest tablet which delivers maximum display space through its slender design. The device delivers high definition visual content through its metal body which has a thickness of 6.7 millimeters and a weight of 542 grams.
TCL Tab A1 Plus features its primary 12.2 inch IPS display as its main display element. The panel provides 2400x1600 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate which enables seamless visual transitions for both work tasks and streaming activities. The tablet operates using the following internal hardware components
- The processor used in this device is Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2.
- The device contains 6GB of RAM for memory.
- The device includes 128GB of internal storage space which users can expand through the microSD slot that accepts 2TB cards.
TCL has managed to install quad speaker stereo sound technology into its metal enclosure despite the device's slim 6.7mm thickness. The tablet achieves its daily durability requirements through its IP54 certification which protects against dust particles and water splashes. The device uses an 8,000 mAh battery for power management which enables 20 watt fast charging through USB C.
The TCL Tab A1 Plus launches with Android 16. TCL will provide software updates which include future support for Android 17 to extend the device's operational time. The camera system includes basic functionality through its 8 MP rear sensor and 5 MP front facing sensor for video conferencing.
Physical dimensions for the device are 275.6 x 189.34 mm. The lightweight metal construction together with these dimensions makes this product suitable for users who need extensive workspace but want to avoid the weight of conventional 12 inch laptops.
TCL has not yet confirmed the specific release date or the retail price for the Tab A1 Plus. The device will receive these details from the company during its introduction to international markets which will happen later this year.
