Bigme HiBreak Dual Smartphone Launch Features Specialized E Ink Display Dual Screens MediaTek Hardware and Professional Stylus Support
The HiBreak Dual launch demonstrates Bigme's attempt to research different hardware design possibilities. Bigme presents its device as a specialized product designed for users who need eye friendly display options and distinct interface features instead of common mobile device features.
The E Ink display of the device features a 6.13 inch screen that displays 300 ppi in monochrome mode and 150 ppi when displaying color content. The back side of the device features a circular LCD display that measures 1.85 inches and serves as a central point for users to receive notifications and track time and manage widgets. The secondary screen functions as a viewfinder for users to capture high resolution self portraits with their 20 megapixel main sensor.
The MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor operates the HiBreak Dual smartphone system. Users can select between two memory options which enable them to choose either 8GB or 12GB of RAM along with 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. The Android 14 operating system supports pressure sensitive stylus input, allowing users to create professional annotations and artistic sketches with 4,096 distinct pressure levels.
The smartphone's unique design elements do not prevent it from providing essential functions through its IR blaster and NFC support and Bluetooth 5.2 wireless technology. The device uses a 4,500 mAh battery which powers the system while 18 watt charging gives additional support. Users who need more storage can use the microSD slot to insert cards that have a capacity of 2TB.
The US market receives the HiBreak Dual through multiple pricing options. The entry level 8GB/128GB model begins at $539 costs $629 when purchased with the stylus and case. The 12GB/256GB model costs $599 while the full accessory package costs $689.
