Google Celebrates Tenth Pixel Anniversary with Japan Exclusive Pixel 10a Featuring Isai Blue and Heralbony Art Design
The celebration of the Pixel decade by Google leads to the introduction of the new Isai Blue color which features Heralbony design elements. Google has created a special Pixel 10a edition to celebrate the ten year anniversary of Pixel hardware which began with the first Pixel devices. The release results from a creative partnership with the art focused firm Heralbony which developed a device that uses the color Isai Blue instead of traditional color options. The term Isai, rooted in Japanese linguistics to signify individuality, marks the first instance of Google employing a localized naming convention for its hardware finishes.
The aesthetic venture extends beyond the external chassis. Google selected a complete software redesign which implements nine Material You interface themes to achieve the artistic vision established by the partnership. The themes draw design elements from the portfolios of various Japanese artists to create an art centric user environment which transforms the system’s wallpapers and iconography.
The Japanese market provides the only access to the special edition which Google uses as a branding tool to create exclusive specials for particular regional markets. The package includes both protective housing and adhesive graphics which transform the kit into a collector’s item instead of a typical hardware update. The single 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration has a price of approximately $593.
Google establishes the 10a model as a regional tribute by combining hardware elements with artistic collaborations that celebrate its tenth anniversary. The decision to keep the device out of global circulation highlights a deliberate choice to prioritize localized engagement over broad availability, ensuring that the milestone release maintains a level of scarcity for the domestic Japanese audience.
