Gothic 1 Remake Release Date Set for June 2026 with Global Pre Order Details and Pricing for PC and Consoles
The Gothic 1 remake will become available for public purchase starting June 2023 according to the announcement of global pre order availability. The official announcement of the project by Alkimia Interactive and THQ Nordic marks a key milestone in the long anticipated return to the Valley of Mines. According to the latest project updates out of Barcelona and Vienna, the Gothic 1 Remake is scheduled for a worldwide release on June 5, 2026. The dark fantasy series fans can expect to play the upcoming title on European dates from 2024 onwards.
The PC version of the standard edition will cost €49.99 for customers. People who buy this version will receive a special digital gift which includes the complete official soundtrack. The audio collection contains both reimagined scores and brand new tracks which original series composer Kai Rosenkranz created to lead the musical direction of the remake. The soundtrack inclusion provides a contemporary sound experience while maintaining the 2001 original movie's particular atmospheric sound.
The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X S console versions will have a base retail price of €59.99. The higher price requires THQ Nordic to include free Gothic Classic port access with every pre order as their solution to value customers at this price point. The base game will become accessible to new console players who want to experience the franchise's original title alongside the recent release. The legacy port functions as a bridge that helps new generation gamers understand the Barrier mechanics and the magical ore war which they do not yet know.
The development team maintains their schedule for launching in early June while Steam and GOG and all console marketplaces now permit order placement. The developers used the June 5 date to establish a marketing period which they needed for the final phase of their promotional campaign. The technical development of this release represents an enormous task for Alkimia Interactive, which requires them to convert Gothic's complex systems into modern gaming systems.
