One Netbook OneXPlayer X1 Pro Global Launch Featuring AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 Hardware Upgrades and June Shipping Dates
Global orders have opened for One Netbook's new handheld gaming console, the updated OneXPlayer X1 Pro. This launch is a significant return to the company's flagship series, which was previously updated with the release of the air model. In contrast to earlier configurations that utilize older AMD Strix Point and Intel Arrow Lake chips, the revamped handheld adopts AMD's new Gorgon Point platform and can be seen as a straight up hardware upgrade.
The biggest change to the hardware is the integration of the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 APU instead of the previous Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, which reportedly offers a small but significant gain in CPU efficiency during high demand tasks. The graphics component is powered by an integrated Radeon 890M iGPU which clocks in at about 7% faster than its predecessor for smoother frame rates in portable gaming scenarios.
The body of the unit itself is unchanged from earlier models. The 10.95 inch display, detachable controller setup, and all related structural features carry over from previous generations of the OneXPlayer X1. The handheld utilizes a 65 Wh battery to power its new components on the go.
Expanded hardware capability is present by way of an OCuLink port, intended for connection to an eGPU docking station to add more powerful desktop class graphics cards. Internally, 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM will be standard with the device, along with 1TB or 2TB Solid State Drive configurations for storage.
The retail package will include 1 magnetic keyboard, enabling the use of the OneXPlayer X1 Pro as a notebook when the controllers are detached. The newest hardware variant is currently priced at $1799 for the base configuration from official retail channels. Worldwide preorders have opened, and initial hardware shipments will depart warehouse on June 1st.
