Reno16 and Reno16 Pro Series Official Launch Event Details Hardware Specifications Massive Battery and Powerful Camera System Revealed

Official teaser that announces the launch of Reno16 smartphone series. Insiders claim that there will be two main devices in the series: the Reno16 and the Reno16 Pro. This move is a straightforward addition to the mobile segment of the brand, and a bold statement to be positioned in the high performance market.

Reno16 Pro will be the premium variant of the series. In terms of hardware, the device will pack a 6.78 inch LTPO OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution. Processing is said to be done by MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset. The most significant element seems to be the massive 7000 mAh battery supported by 80W wired and 50W wireless charging to support its operations.

The standard Reno16 will sport the same display quality, though with slightly less dimensions. The panel will be 6.32 inch OLED with 1.5K resolution. For the performance, MediaTek Dimensity 8550 chipset will be used. The device carries 6700 mAh battery with 80W wired charging, whereas wireless charging option will not be included.

Both smartphones in the Reno16 series will carry a powerful camera array with 200 MP Samsung ISOCELL HP5 primary sensor, followed by 50 MP ultrawide lens and a 50 MP periscope camera for ultimate zooming in the range.

The official launch event for Reno16 series will be held on the 25th of this month and is expected to unveil the final pricing and regional availibility. For now, the teaser and the leaked hardware specs from OPPO seem to show clearly where the direction goes.
