Vivo X Fold 6 Foldable Flagship Launch Showcases Dimensity 9500 Power Zeiss Camera Systems and Silicon Carbon Battery Technology

Vivo has officially released teaser series showcasing its next foldable flagship Vivo X Fold 6. As per the teaser series unveiled by Vivo, its flagship delivers noteworthy boost in its camera systems, chassis strength, and the internal power capacity. The hardware is set to face neck and neck competition in industry top of the line folding smartphone category.

Vivo X Fold 6 Detailed Specifications Revealed Through Official Teasers

The Vivo X Fold 6 is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chip. This main chip is complemented by the V3+ imaging chip from Vivo, which handles all photography and graphics processing tasks. The Vivo X Fold 6 will be sold in multiple hardware configurations depending on the amount of storage needed by the user. The Vivo X Fold 6 will offer 12 gigabytes of RAM and either 256 or 512 gigabytes of built in storage space. The more expensive configurations will offer 16 gigabytes of RAM with either 512 gigabytes or up to 1 terabyte of solid state storage.

The flagship camera system has a 200 megapixel primary sensor of 1/1.4in with physical optical image stabilisation ( OIS ), calibrated to the CIPA 4.5 standard. For zoom, the phone uses a 50 megapixel telephoto sensor of 1/1.95in with a Zeiss APO lens structure with optical stabilisation aligned. The camera system also employs the Zeiss G2 teleconverter hardware to improve digital zoom. For video, the hardware natively records at 4K 60 fps Dolby Vision.

To power these intensive computations, Vivo has employed a 7000 mAh silicon carbon battery. While this silicon carbon chemistry provides far more energy than traditional lithium technologies, it is a sparse enough chemistry to fit into the ultra slim folding form factor. Display quality is handled by the primary 6.44 inch Samsung M14 matrix, known for its explosive color fidelity and brightness. Physical connecticity is taken care of by a USB 3.2 port for lightning fast data transfer to external drives.

The physical design is rugged and suitable for tough environments, with official IPX8 and IPX9 water resistant ratings along with an IP5X dust resistant rating. The phone is powered by the proprietary OriginOS 6 Fold operating system, built out by Vivo to support multi window multitasking on its folding screens. The vendor will make the device available in green, white, black and a high end black and gold combination.
