AMD Ryzen 7 9800HX3D Mobile Processor Leak Reveals 3D V Cache and Gaming Performance Spec

AMD is reportedly preparing a new mobile processor featuring 3D V Cache technology. According to leaks from industry insider Golden Pig Upgrade Pack, the chip is named the Ryzen 7 9800HX3D rather than the rumored 9755HX3D. The processor is scheduled for mass production in the final quarter of 2026.

The hardware specifications indicate a major upgrade for high end gaming laptops. The silicon features 8 cores and 16 threads, running at a clock speed of 5.1 GHz. It also carries a massive 96MB of L3 cache to boost gaming performance. This layout brings desktop grade cache architecture directly to portable form factors to help handle demanding simulation workloads.

Laptops powered by this processor are expected to debut at CES 2027. However, some manufacturers might move faster and launch systems before the end of 2026. This chip represents a major shift in how AMD names its mobile gaming components, aligning the naming structure with its desktop counterparts.
