Lenovo has launched an updated version of its ThinkPad T14s Gen 7 business laptop. Running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 ARM processor, the machine promises an exceptional battery life of up to 27 hours on a single charge. The updated laptop is already on sale in select markets starting at $1719.
The laptop joins existing configurations that use AMD and Intel silicon. The core of this updated ThinkPad T14s Gen 7 is the Snapdragon X2 Elite chip, specifically model X2E 80 100. This 12 core CPU offers a performance boost of roughly 20% compared to the baseline X2P 42 100 model. Efficiency is the key. This massive jump in power management is what allows the device to run for more than a day without a charger.
Lenovo offers a 14 inch IPS screen with a 1200p resolution and a standard 60 Hz refresh rate. Screen brightness maxes out at either 400 or 500 nits. It is bright. Buyers can configure the device with 16 or 32 GB of LPDDR5X memory. Storage options include 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB of space.
Connectivity is solid for a slim business machine. You get 1 USB Type A port, 2 USB Type C ports with USB4 support, an HDMI port, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and a Kensington Nano slot. Dongle use is not required. According to Lenovo retail listings, the laptop has hit store shelves in select countries as a premium option for mobile professionals.
