Lenovo has launched the ThinkPad X13 Detachable Gen 1, a 13 inch hybrid tablet aimed directly at the Microsoft Surface Pro 12. The versatile device features an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, up to 64 GB of LPDDR5X memory, and a 120 Hz IPS display. The Windows tablet is now available globally with prices starting at 1949 euros.
The system easily transitions from a tablet to a laptop using a detachable keyboard accessory. It has a 13 inch IPS screen with a 3 to 2 aspect ratio for extra vertical workspace. Colors look rich because the panel covers 100% of the sRGB space, and a 120 Hz refresh rate keeps animations smooth. Brightness peaks at 500 nits, which helps with outdoor visibility.
Buyers can choose between 3 different processor options depending on their performance needs. According to official release details from Lenovo, the entry model uses a 6 core Core Ultra 5 332 chip. Those needing more power can opt for the 8 core Core Ultra 5 335 or the top tier 8 core Core Ultra 7 365. Memory configurations scale from 16 GB up to 64 GB of LPDDR5X RAM.
Storage options are also flexible, with solid state drives available in 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB capacities. A 45 Wh battery powers the tablet, delivering up to 11 hours of usage based on industry standard MobileMark30 tests. Lenovo first previewed this design earlier at the Mobile World Congress before releasing it to the global public this week.
