Samsung and Google Gemini Agentic AI for Galaxy Devices and Smart Glasses Hardware Preview

Samsung and Google have teased their shared vision for agentic artificial intelligence alongside a first look at upcoming smart glasses. The companies are integrating Gemini intelligence directly into the Galaxy ecosystem to automate complex daily chores in the background. But while the software updates are arriving soon, the intelligent eyewear won't land until later this year.

The upgrade shifts Gemini from a basic voice helper into an automated background assistant. Users can initiate complex commands like booking travel arrangements, securing dinner reservations, or buying concert tickets across more than 40 supported third party applications. The system executes these steps behind the scenes. You can monitor the progress on your screen or simply wait for a final transaction confirmation.

For foldable phone owners, a dedicated research suite called Gemini Notebook comes already loaded on the Z Fold8 and Flip8. This workspace is designed for the large inner screens to allow side by side document analysis. You can pull in PDFs, voice recordings, and photos to generate slides, quizzes, or audio overviews. Buying one of these foldables includes a 6 month trial of the Google AI Pro subscription.

The smart glasses preview highlights a collaboration with fashion brands Gentle Monster and Warby Parker. Rather than building bulky headsets, the partnership focuses on stylish prescription ready frames that look like normal glasses. The lightweight frames include audio speakers, cameras, and real time visual analysis powered by Gemini software. Users can even control the glasses using hand gestures captured by a Galaxy Watch 9 or a Watch Ultra 2. Control is effortless.
