AYANEO has launched the KONKR Pocket Advance, a compact handheld console that now comes in a limited Ice Translucent Black casing. The retro styled device features a MediaTek Helio G90T processor and active fan cooling to keep gaming sessions smooth. However, buyers will have to wait until mid autumn for shipments to begin, with prices starting at 799 Yuan.
The pocket sized handheld is built for portability, measuring 151.3 by 82.4 by 22 millimeters and weighing roughly 224 grams. Up front, you get a 3.5 inch LCD screen with a retro 3:2 aspect ratio and a 960 by 640 resolution. To manage heat during long gaming sessions, a built in fan assists active cooling inside the chassis. A 4000mAh battery keeps the hardware running, which is plenty of capacity for a device of this size.
There are 2 main configurations available for purchase. The base version comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage for 799 Yuan. If you need more space, the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage edition costs 899 Yuan. For expansion and accessories, the frame holds a USB C 2.0 port, a MicroSD card slot, and a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack. Wireless connectivity relies on Wi Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0.
Alongside this release, AYANEO is teasing a second device called the KONKR Pocket Block. The company calls this upcoming device the first AI handheld console in the world. It aims to merge classic retro aesthetics with modern smart features, though AYANEO is keeping the exact hardware specifications under wraps for now. More details are expected to surface as the brand continues development on both product lines.
