EIZO has launched the ColorEdge CG3200X, marking the arrival of the first OLED model in its flagship color management lineup. The 31.5 inch monitor uses a 4K QD OLED panel designed for color accuracy with 99% DCI P3 coverage and 0.1ms response times. It also comes with a built in hardware calibration sensor and a magnetic shading hood right in the box.
The display runs at a native 3840x2160 UHD resolution with a 60Hz refresh rate. It delivers a full screen brightness of 300 nits alongside a peak brightness of 1000 nits for HDR mastering. Contrast reaches 1500000 to 1. Color reproduction covers 99% of the DCI P3 space and 94% of Adobe RGB. EIZO applied an AGLR coating over the screen surface to cut down reflections without dulling fine image details.
Color accuracy is the main focus of the ColorEdge family. The CG3200X features dedicated correction circuitry to fix chromatic aberration along the edges of the panel. A built in sensor swings down to handle calibration automatically. For SDR video grading, editors can manually adjust the contrast ratio anywhere between 500 to 1 and 2000 to 1. The monitor also includes dual ABL control options, letting creators choose between highlight dimming and global dimming depending on the project.
Physical connectivity covers all standard studio setups. The back panel houses DisplayPort, HDMI, and a full featured USB C port running at 5Gbps with 60W power delivery. You also get 1 USB B upstream port and 2 USB A 5Gbps downstream ports for studio peripherals. EIZO includes a magnetic shading hood in the box to block stray ambient light, and the monitor comes backed by a 5 year factory warranty.
