Tecno has officially launched the Camon Slim 5G and Camon Air, bringing two ultra slim devices with massive batteries to the market. Both phones measure just 6.39 millimeters in thickness while squeezing in 6000mAh battery packs and 144Hz AMOLED displays. The lineup starts at Tk 44999 in Bangladesh, where the Slim model makes its global debut.
Camon Slim 5G Durability and Core Hardware
The Camon Slim 5G leads the new pair with a focus on hardware durability despite its thin profile. It weighs 190 grams. It also carries IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings to resist high pressure water and dust intrusion. Under the hood, Tecno packed a MediaTek Dimensity 7300E 5G processor alongside 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The 6000mAh battery supports 45W Super Charge to keep downtime low.
For mobile photography, the primary shooter relies on a 50MP Sony LYT700C sensor with optical image stabilization. An 8MP wide angle lens and a flicker sensor sit next to it, while the front gets a 32MP camera for selfies. The screen is a 6.78 inch 1.5K AMOLED panel refreshing at 144Hz for smooth visuals. Tecno also loaded software tools like AI Healthcare for calorie estimation and AI Pet Snap for quick animal photography.
Camon Air Design and Charging Upgrades
Sitting alongside the 5G model is the lighter Camon Air, which cuts total weight down to 162.8 grams using a 3D curved body. This version runs on a MediaTek Helio G200 Ultimate chip and increases wired charging speeds to 60W for its 6000mAh cell. It includes IP68 and IP69 protection against liquid damage. The front features the same 6.78 inch 1.5K AMOLED curved panel with a 144Hz refresh rate.
Camera duties on the Camon Air are handled by a 50MP Sony LYT600 main sensor, a flicker sensor, and a 32MP front facing lens. It shares the AI software features found on the Slim model while adding a dedicated AI Mood Light to the back of the chassis for ambient alerts and visual effects.
According to the official announcement from Tecno Mobile BD, both models are entering the market with multiple configurations. The standard Camon Air comes in an 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model for Tk 44,999 (~$365 USD), stepping up to Tk 49,999 (~$405 USD) for 256GB storage. The flagship Camon Slim 5G arrives in an 8GB and 256GB configuration priced at Tk 59,999 (~$485 USD). Early pre-orders include promotional perks such as a Tecno Smartwatch Neo and tournament tickets for the local sports championship.
