Samsung has officially revealed the Galaxy A08 across select regional websites. The budget phone packs a massive 6000 mAh battery, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and promises an impressive 6 years of software support. Pricing for the base 4GB and 64GB model starts around $180 in select markets like the UAE.
Up front, the device sports a large 6.7 inch PLS display pushing a 720x1600 resolution with a small water drop notch at the top. While Samsung has not revealed the exact processor model yet, the phone does benefit from fast LPDDR5X memory. Buyers can pick between storage options of 64GB, 128GB, or 256GB. That is plenty of flexibility for an entry level device.
Battery life should easily last 2 full days thanks to the generous 6000 mAh cell inside. Unlike many modern devices, Samsung kept the traditional 3.5 mm audio jack for wired headphones. Color choices include green, dark blue, and silver. The phone also carries an IP64 rating to resist dust and minor water splashes during daily use.
Photography duties are handled by a dual camera setup on the back panel. This system pairs a 50 MP primary sensor with a 2 MP depth sensor for portrait shots. Selfies and video calls rely on an 8 MP front facing camera. A full global rollout schedule has not been detailed yet, but wider regional availability is expected soon.
