Vivo has revealed the upcoming X500 flagship smartphone lineup, headlined by the photography focused X500 Pro Max. The new hardware introduces a 2nm Dimensity 9600 Pro chip alongside cinema grade video capabilities and physical camera attachments. Official pricing remains unannounced ahead of the official launch event scheduled for later this month.
The top tier vivo X500 Pro Max is built for mobile filmmakers. Vivo product vice president Huang Tao showcased the phone with 2 optional accessories, including an optical teleconverter lens and a physical camera grip for steady shooting. The device features a 1/1.28 inch 50MP primary sensor, a 200MP HP0 periscope telephoto sensor, and a 50MP ultra wide camera. A major addition is the 3 degree gimbal style stabilization system on the primary lens to eliminate hand shake.
Under the hood, the X500 Pro Max runs on the 2nm MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro processor. This new silicon provides the computing power needed for heavy video tasks. The phone achieves 17EV dynamic range and supports 10bit 422 color encoding alongside the ACES color management standard. Creators can record 4K video at 120 frames per second directly into 10bit log formats. Vivo also confirmed native 8K Live photo and video capture with direct upload support across multiple social platforms.
The front of the Pro Max houses a 6.83 inch BOE Q11 2K display panel with slim bezels. Across the broader lineup, the standard vivo X500 includes a 1/1.28 inch Sony LYTIA 828 main camera, a LYTIA 610 telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultra wide camera. Both the standard and Pro versions debut the Blueprint Guangyu 900 sensor and carry a CIPA 7.0 stabilization rating on their main and periscope lenses. Upgraded AI photo tools are also included across all 3 models to assist with everyday shooting.
