HUAWEI has introduced the Pura 90 Plus, featuring a curved frame profile, the Kirin 9025 processor, and 100W fast charging. The smartphone sets itself apart from the rest of the flat edged Pura 90 lineup with rounded contours and an upgraded 3 camera XMAGE imaging setup. Sales begin first in China with prices starting at $775.
HUAWEI equips the device with its Kirin 9025 silicon, delivering a 20% speed boost over the previous Kirin 9020. The phone runs HarmonyOS 7, integrating local artificial intelligence tools and the Celia voice assistant. A 5700 mAh battery supplies power, supporting 100W wired and 80W wireless charging. Up front, users get a 6.8 inch OLED display featuring an adaptive refresh rate shifting between 1 and 120 Hz.
The chassis departs from other Pura 90 models by using curved edges and a rounded back panel similar to the Pura 80 Pro. The rear camera system centers on a 50 MP main sensor with optical image stabilization and a physical aperture adjusting from f/1.6 to 4.0. HUAWEI pairs this with a 40 MP ultrawide camera at f/2.2 and a 48 MP telephoto sensor at f/2.1 capable of 4x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom. Image rendering relies on XMAGE algorithms with Red Maple color processing, while the front cutout holds a 13 MP selfie camera.
HUAWEI offers the smartphone in 3 configurations, all including 12GB of RAM. The 256GB model costs $775, the 512GB version sells for $845, and the 1TB edition retails for $985. The device launches initially in the domestic Chinese market before any wider global rollout.
