NVIDIA Releases 621.12 Hotfix Driver for RTX 50 Series Video Issues

NVIDIA has released the GeForce 621.12 Game Ready hotfix driver targeting video playback failures and software instability across modern hardware. The emergency update patches freezing and black screens on GeForce RTX 50 series cards alongside crashes in Unreal Engine 5.8. The software package is currently live for affected GeForce desktops and RTX Spark laptops.

The hotfix tackles playback issues introduced in the previous 621.01 release. Users running certain GeForce RTX 50 series graphics cards and RTX Spark machines reported frequent stuttering or black screens during media playback. NVIDIA also addressed stability problems in game development environments. Specifically Unreal Engine 5.8 was crashing whenever developers enabled ray tracing with the hit lighting option active.

Display connection bugs on portable systems receive dedicated corrections in this build. RTX Spark devices using a StarTech Thunderbolt 3 to HDMI 2.0 adapter were generating corrupted visual output on external monitors. The update also eliminates intermittent screen flickering reported on the MSI Prestige N16 Flip laptop. Users experiencing these bugs can download the standalone 621.12 hotfix installer directly from the NVIDIA customer care portal.
