OnePlus has launched the OnePlus 16 in China, combining a 9000 mAh silicon carbon battery with a 185 Hz OLED display and the 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip. The flagship focuses on gaming performance and multi camera upgrades. Sales begin in China at 5699 yuan, with international release timing still unconfirmed.
The smartphone runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 silicon built on a 2nm process. Internal benchmarks record an AnTuTu score of 5633288 points, with supported gaming titles like PUBG and Naruto Mobile running at 185 frames per second. Visuals output to a 6.78 inch BOE X4 OLED panel with a resolution of 2771x1272. The display operates at 165 Hz during regular tasks and boosts to 185 Hz during compatible gaming sessions. Border bezels around the screen measure 1.15 millimeters.
OnePlus upgraded the battery system to a 9000 mAh silicon carbon unit, increasing capacity compared to the 7300 mAh cell used in the OnePlus 15. The device supports 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. A custom power management chip developed by OPPO controls power delivery to preserve battery health over extended usage cycles.
