POCO has launched the POCO X8s, a compact smartphone sporting a 6.35 inch AMOLED display and a massive 6330 mAh battery. The device combines Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 silicon with dual 50 MP cameras and 100W fast charging. It is now available starting at $399 for the base configuration.
The front panel measures 6.35 inches across with a resolution of 2656x1220 pixels and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness reaches 3500 nits with official support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+. A layer of POCO Shield Glass protects the glass from scratches and impacts. For security, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner sits directly beneath the screen. The entire build carries an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 silicon powers the internal computing. Heat management relies on the POCO 3D IceLoop cooling system, which uses a 4497 square millimeter vapor chamber to maintain performance during heavy workloads. Buyers can pick between 2 memory setups, offering either 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage or 12GB of RAM with 512GB of storage.
The rear camera module carries 3 distinct sensors. The primary 50 MP shooter uses a Light Fusion 800 sensor equipped with optical image stabilization. A dedicated 50 MP telephoto camera manages optical zoom, supported by an 8 MP ultrawide sensor. Video recording supports 4K capture at 30 frames per second, while the front camera operates at 20 MP. The 6330 mAh battery supports 100W wired fast charging along with 22.5W reverse charging. Connectivity covers NFC, Bluetooth 5.4, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, and Wi Fi 6E.
The base POCO X8s with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage retails for $399. The expanded variant with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage costs $499.
