RedMagic has published its official roadmap for RedMagic OS 12 based on Android 17. The firmware delivers a redesigned lock screen, an adaptive Game Space layout, and updated gaming utilities for eligible phones and tablets. The phased rollout begins in China at the end of the year, while global deployment schedules remain unconfirmed.
The software rollout spans 4 distinct phases through early next year. The RedMagic 11 Pro and 11S Pro receive the update first in December 2026. The RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro follows next in January 2027. Deployment resumes in March 2027 for the RedMagic 10 Pro series, the 10S Pro series, the RedMagic 11 Air, and the RedMagic Esports Tablet 3 Pro. The final phase concludes in April 2027 with the RedMagic 10 Air series.
Interface adjustments and gaming tools form the core of the upgrade. The lock screen gains an enlarged clock display alongside flexible layout options for interface elements. The updated Game Space interface reorganizes its tools automatically based on the specific game running on the screen. Users also get a dedicated Esports Training Arena application featuring mini games designed to improve reaction speed and finger coordination. The companion X Gravity platform steps up to version 3.0.
These release windows apply exclusively to hardware sold in China. Global editions typically receive software upgrades with a slight delay, though RedMagic has not shared exact international release windows yet.
