Rogbid has launched the VisionMax, a pair of smart glasses featuring a 20 MP Sony camera capable of 4K video recording. The wearable combines hands free first person filming with an AI assistant that translates 139 languages. The glasses are currently available on the manufacturer website for $139.99 alongside a camera free VisionShift Pro variant for $69.99.
The front frame holds a 20 MP Sony IMX388D sensor that records 4K video at 30 or 60 frames per second. Video smoothing relies on a 6 axis gyroscope paired with electronic image stabilization. Rogbid builds the black frame using flexible TR90 plastic with elastic metal hinges, securing an IP66 rating for dust and water resistance. Buyers can pick between standard blue light filtering lenses, photochromic lenses, or tinted sun lenses.
The hardware runs on an Allwinner V881 processor and uses Wi Fi 6 to transfer media directly to a smartphone. Users manage the glasses via physical buttons, a touch slider on the temple arm, or a companion mobile app. The integrated voice assistant identifies real world objects, answers spoken queries, and translates speech across 139 languages. Audio delivery relies on open ear speakers built into the arms, while 2 noise reduction microphones handle voice clarity during phone calls.
A 290 mAh battery provides 8 to 9 hours of continuous audio playback, though video recording drops battery life faster. An infrared wear detection sensor shifts the glasses into power saving mode whenever the user takes them off. The VisionMax sells directly through the Rogbid online store for $139.99. Rogbid also introduced the VisionShift Pro, an alternative pair featuring electrochromic tint adjusting lenses without a camera for $69.99.
