Silent Hill Remake In Development at Bloober Team for 2027 Release

Silent Hill Remake In Development at Bloober Team for 2027 Release

Bloober Team is targeting a 2027 release window for its remake of the original 1999 Silent Hill. The project, reportedly operating under the internal codename Project Noise, follows the commercial success of the Silent Hill 2 remake which reached 6 million sales. Production details surfaced through an investigative report by MP1st, revealing initial casting decisions for the psychological horror title.

The production has attached actors Gabrielle Fritz and Jade Matthew to primary roles. While Konami has not confirmed their exact characters, their involvement points toward key figures such as officer Cybil Bennett, nurse Lisa Garland, or antagonist Dahlia Gillespie. The role of protagonist Harry Mason remains unannounced. Leaks indicate that development has been active behind closed doors since 2022, shortly after Bloober Team signed on to revitalize the franchise.

Konami producer Motoi Okamoto previously framed the company release schedule around multi wave phases. The first phase encompassed the remake of Silent Hill 2 alongside Silent Hill f and Silent Hill Townfall. This fresh take on the original PS1 classic serves as the starting point for a planned second wave of survival horror releases. Konami aims to maintain an annual release cadence for the franchise across modern hardware.

Bloober Team balances this project alongside several other productions slated for the same release window. The Polish developer is simultaneously preparing Star Trek Shadow Frontier and a Switch 2 exclusive titled Onyx The Dark Grip. Even with multiple horror projects in the pipeline, the studio faces massive audience expectations to modernize the fog bound streets of the original town with the same fidelity shown in its previous remake.
