Ubisoft Rules Out Additional Remakes While Pushing Hexe and Invictus Forward

Ubisoft has issued a comprehensive production roadmap outlining the trajectory of the Assassin's Creed brand. The publisher confirmed that internal teams are prioritizing Codename Hexe and the multiplayer project Invictus while officially stopping work on further classic remakes. Fans seeking detailed public presentations on upcoming releases must wait until 2027 for major promotional assets.

Following the release of Black Flag Resynced, rumors circulated regarding potential ground up overhauls for other classic titles in the franchise. Ubisoft leadership addressed the community to halt that speculation directly.

One thing we want to be transparent about today is that we currently have no other Assassin's Creed remake actively in development.

Staff previously dedicated to remake projects have moved to unannounced standalone games with original historical settings. Black Flag Resynced received its final scheduled balance patch, ending developer support with the addition of high difficulty options and cosmetic ship gear.

Production on the witch themed Codename Hexe continues behind closed doors. Studio leads confirmed that the team requires more production time, scheduling the next public presentation for 2027. The project remains an unusual, tonally darker entry in the catalog.

Codename Invictus completed its initial private player tests. Community participants praised the vertical map layouts and parkour movement, but advised the team to incorporate more traditional stealth mechanics. Developers are adjusting gameplay systems to meet that feedback before launching broader public tests.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla passed 40,000,000 total lifetime players. The game receives a long requested New Game+ option alongside Divine Gear upgrades, an equipment stash, and fresh rune systems. Production on the live action Netflix adaptation is concluding filming on location in Rome, with composer Hannah Peel scoring the soundtrack. Ubisoft plans to mark the 20th anniversary of the franchise in 2027 with dedicated community events.
