Alcatel V3 Series Teased: Featuring the Eye-Friendly V3 Ultra
Alcatel is preparing to bring its new V3 range to the world, and it's teased us with what's in store. The MVP The V3 Ultra, which has a display aimed at replicating the feel of an e-book but with all the color of a regular IPS screen.
Say hello to the Alcatel V3 Ultra 5G: Easy on the Eyes
The V3 Ultra is looking like it could be something special. It will feature a massive 6.8-inch Full HD+ screen that refreshes at a silky 120Hz. But the sorcery is actually its special NXTPAPER anti-glare coating and a special "paper" mode. This combination should make long reading periods much more relaxed, less eye-straining. While Alcatel has not technically named the processor (though hearsay would have us believe it's the Dimensity 6300), we do know that it'll be paired with some decent 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
Camera-wise, the V3 Ultra will boast a triple camera setup at the back. That includes a 108-megapixel high-resolution main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens for those wider shots, and a depth sensor for portrait effects. Firing it all up is a 5010 mAh battery with support for 33-watt fast charging. And to give it a little bit of more power, it will also come equipped with stereo speakers and even have a stylus.
The Alcatel V3 Pro: A Good Challenger
If you don't mind parting with a bit less, the V3 Pro might be for you. It also comes with a 6.7-inch HD+ screen, but with that silky smooth 120Hz refresh rate and anti-glare coating (though without the full NXTPAPER deal). It also seems to share the same Dimensity 6300 chip and 8GB of RAM as its pricier sibling. For battery, it features slightly larger 5200 mAh battery. On the camera front, it will feature a dual setup with a 50-megapixel main camera, and an 8-megapixel selfie front camera.
The Alcatel V3 Classic: Simplicity Is Key
Rounding out the series is the V3 Classic. This will have a new 6.7-inch HD+ display with 120Hz refresh, but without the NXTPAPER technology or anti-glare coating. It should share the same processor, RAM, and camera configuration as the V3 Pro, so a no-frills option for the user who wants essential functionality.
Mark Your Calendars
Alcatel will be releasing the entire V3 series officially on May 27th. While they haven't said anything about prices, we can't wait to hear where these new phones would be positioned in the market. The V3 Ultra, with its unique screen, has certainly caught our eye.
