iQOO Unveils the Gorgeous Pad 5 and Pad 5 Pro
Alert, tablet enthusiasts. Vivo's iQOO brand is making waves in China with the launch of two shiny new flagship tablets: the iQOO Pad 5 and its even more remarkable sibling, the Pad 5 Pro. These are not just browsing machines; iQOO has packed them with features designed to tackle work and play with equal aplomb. Let's have a look at what they're serving up.
Hello to the iQOO Pad 5: Smooth Screens and Durability
The iQOO Pad 5 starts with a vibrant 12.1-inch display. I mean an equally sharp 2.8K resolution and a refreshingly smooth 144Hz refresh rate — your eyes will thank you. Tops out at a respectable 900 nits of brightness, so it's quite usable in various light conditions.
Under the hood, it's powered by the potent Dimensity 9300+ processor, and you can get up to a whopping 16GB of rapid LPDDR5X RAM and speedy UFS 4.1 storage. Peppy performance should be a guarantee.
Other features include a 5MP front camera for video calls, an 8MP rear camera for fast photos, and a six-speaker system for surround sound. Connectivity is also current with Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 7, and a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port. It includes a tablet-optimized OriginOS 5. And, a recreational feature: you can use the Pad 5 as a second screen for your Windows computer or Mac, or even remotely control your computer.
All that is powered by a massive 10,000mAh battery, which supports 44W fast wired charging. iQOO also talks about a premium-level three-dimensional cooling system with a humongous cooling plate to take care of temperatures during marathon gaming sessions. You'll be able to purchase the Pad 5 in green, silver, and gray colors.

Stepping Up to the iQOO Pad 5 Pro: More, More, More
If "more" is your motto, the iQOO Pad 5 Pro might be calling your name. It boasts a still larger 13-inch display with a whopping 3.1K resolution. That silky 144Hz refresh rate is included as well, along with all the eye protection bells and whistles of the standard model. The "Pro" is not just titular; it gets a processor boost to MediaTek's Dimensity 9400+. RAM is bumped up to 16GB, and storage options go up to 512GB, though there is no microSD card reader to add to it, sadly.
Camera-wise, the Pro variant has an 8MP selfie camera and a beefier 13MP rear camera. Sound is significantly boosted with an eight-speaker system, promising a cinematic experience. Like its sibling, it uses face unlock instead of a fingerprint scanner and skips the audio jack in favor of USB-C audio.
In spite of its wafer-thin 6.07mm thickness, the Pad 5 Pro contains a whopping 12,050mAh battery. That's heaps of juice. It also supports faster charging than the regular model, with 66W wired charging, and has an even bigger cooling plate to cope with the added power.
