Leaked Codes Show Total Mac Line Makeover, with M5/M6 and A18 Pro Types

A fresh report, based on rumored product codes, hints Apple is set for a big update across all Mac models. It seems new models with M5 and M6 chips are coming, plus a new MacBook might have an A18 Pro chip.

The M5 Wave What’s Coming

The first set of new stuff will likely have the M5 chip. Later in 2025, maybe around October or November, we expect new 14-inch and 16-inch M5, M5 Pro, and M5 Max MacBook Pros. They should look like the last ones but work better and use less power thanks to the new chip. The M5 Mac mini and iMac might drop at this time too.

The next year should bring more M5 updates, with refreshed MacBook Air and Mac Studio models.

The M6 and OLED Change

Next, the M6 MacBook Pros should come. These will have OLED screens, better than the old mini-LED ones. They might also have thinner edges and be slimmer.

The top-level Mac Pro is still being worked on, and might come out in 2026 or even later.

The 'J700' Mystery A MacBook with A18 Pro

A strange code, 'J700', has shown up, not matching any known Mac. It might be a cheaper MacBook with the A18 Pro chip, like in the iPhone 16 Pro. This isn’t sure yet, but it’s an idea.
