Battlefield 6 Beta Gets Huge Player Numbers, Beats Battlefield 2042's Top Count
The first look at Battlefield 6 is pulling in loads of players. On its first day, the beta on Steam passed the top player count ever hit by the older game, Battlefield 2042.
A Clear Look at Player Stats
Data from SteamDB shows a big jump in how many came to play the new game compared to the old:
- Battlefield 6 Beta Peak: On day one, 334,549 players were all in the game at once on Steam.
- Battlefield 2042 Peak: The best it did was 107,376 players, and that was two years after it came out.
Right now, the Battlefield 6 beta still has 303,222 players active on the platform.
What This Big Start Means
These high numbers hint that folks really want the new part in the Battlefield series. It might bring back the good old days for the shooter game. Four teams at Electronic Arts are working on it, hoping to make this a big win for the series.
Getting Into the Beta and What's Next
For now, you need a code to play in this early look. Everyone else can join in on August 9-10, and then again from August 14-17.
This is a good first step, but true success for Battlefield 6 will show when it fully comes out in October. The real test will be if it can keep or beat these beta numbers and keep players coming back long after launch.
