Metal Gear Solid Delta: "Fox Hunt" Multiplayer Mode Released

The multiplayer mode of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, known as Fox Hunt, became available after the game was launched, following an August 28, 2025, release for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The trailer has just been released showcasing the gameplay features of the mode.

Fox Hunt Gameplay and Modes

Fox Hunt entails a player-vs-player stealth-action mode for up to twelve players that passes off some of the core stealth mechanics into the main Snake Eater campaign. Players are challenged using all means of tools and tactics at doing away with their rivals. Undoubtedly, there are two distinct ways to play in the mode:

  • Survival Capture: An objective-based facsimile where players hunt and collect Kerotan Frogs before the enemy team does.
  • Survival Intrude: It's like a tactical stealth battle royale where players battle against one another as the play zone shrinks.

A Good Reason to Come Back...But No Crossplay

Fox Hunt provides an excellent reason for players who have finished the main story to return to this game. It provides a competitive, replayable mode to build on that experience.

Fox Hunt is also a bummer in that it does not allow any cross-platform play across different platforms. From what has been said, there seems to be no plans for crossplay to be added ever.
