OPPO Launched Watch S Smartwatch Slim and Sturdy
The OPPO Watch S is the latest smartwatch offering from OPPO which is characterized by its ultra-sleek design, superior water resistance, and features such as broad health and fitness tracking functions. The watch aims to offer long battery life without compromising on its features list.
Design and Display
At an extremely compressed thickness of just 8.9 mm and weighing only 35 g, the OPPO Watch S is made out of stainless steel. Its IP68 and 5ATM certification allow for submersion in water-enhanced swim workouts.
The watch has round shape AMOLED size of 1.46 inch. Some of the main screen specs include a resolution of 464x464 pixels, a refresh rate of 60 Hz, and peak brightness at 3000 nits.
Battery Life and Health Monitoring
The battery rechargeable to the device is 330 mAh, up to 10 days' use, according to OPPO after a charge. It takes about 90 minutes to recharge a completely flat watch.
For health monitoring, the advanced sensor systems the watch has include:
- Blood oxygen sensor of 16 channels
- Heart beat sensor of 8 channels
- ECG electrodes (Class II medical certification in China)
- Thermometer for measuring skin temperature
Thus, monitoring vascular health, sleep quality (snoring and breathing rhythm included), and stress levels will hypothesize activity by the watch.
Fitness Tracking and Connectivity
The OPPO Watch S is capable of more than 100 training modes. Using an artificial intelligence algorithm developed by oneself, an optimized training plan is created for the user each week based on the previous week's data regarding activity for the individual, thus acting as a virtual trainer.
The smartwatch also comes with eSIM, GPS (with offline map download capability), and an NFC module. Of special note is that the smartwatch can be connected to both Android and iOS smartphones at the same time.
Pricing and Availability
First in Black, Green, and Silver, the OPPO Watch S has landed in China. This does oil for sale at 1299 yuan or around $210.
