Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 5 Kicks Off with The Simpsons Crossover
The Fortnite x The Simpsons crossover is upon us, marking the launch of Chapter 6, Season 5. The update rolls out Springfield Island into Battle Royale, an entirely new map conceived to enhance fast-paced, back-to-basics gameplay. New Simpsons-themed content and cosmetics will be added every week.
Weekly Animated Shorts
A series of original animated shorts co-produced by Gracie Films and Epic Games will be released to preview each week's changes to the map. The first one is out now; find it in-game through the Quests tab, Fortnite's social channels, or on Disney+. The full release schedule is as follows:
- November 1: "Apocalypse D'Oh"
- November 10: "Sugar High"
- November 17: "Multiplidiocy"
- November 24: "The Incredible Bulk"
Springfield Battle Pass and New In-Game Content
The new season's Battle Pass now contains a couple of premium reward Outfits from The Simpsons franchise: Homer, Marge, Flanders, Blinky Fishstick, and a Springfielder version of Peely.
During the weekend, players can engage in the Delulu mode to discover new weapons themed after The Simpsons. A new feature known as Fortnite Sidekicks has also made its debut, in which Peels can be purchased from the shop. More Sidekicks will come starting November 7.
Competitive Tournaments
For competitive players, the new season rolls out a wide range of tournaments on Springfield Island. These include cash-prize Victory Cups-a prize for everyone achieved through each Victory Royale from Round 2 onward.
