HP Presents Revamped HyperX Omen Gaming Laptops at CES 2026
At CES 2026, HP presented its revamped HyperX Omen series of gaming laptops. The new lineup consists of the flagship Omen Max 16, a redesigned Omen 15, and a refreshed Omen 16, which are all configurable with next-gen Intel or AMD processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs.
HyperX Omen Max 16
The Omen Max 16, being the highest in the series, is designed for maximum-performance workhorses.
- Processors: Very latest intel up to Panther Lake and also AMD processors maximum Ryzen AI 9 HX 475.
- Graphics: Maximum NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU; Intel Configuration.
- Ram: Max 64 GB DDR5-5600 MT/s on Intel models and up to 48 GB on AMD.
- Display: Options go up to 240 Hertz OLED with a 2560 x 1600 native resolution, response time of 0.2 ms, and HDR brightness of 1,100 nits.
- Storage: Up to 2 TB PCIe 5 storage.
- Cooling: Improved cooling solution allowing a total platform power of up to 300 Watts.
- Ports: Two Thunderbolt 4 or USB4 ports on both Intel and AMD.
- Battery: 83 Wh.
The HyperX Omen Max 16 is expected to be launched in spring 2026. Pricing at this moment remains unannounced.
HyperX Omen 15
Omen 15 has been spruced up with a modern 15.3-inch display, 16:10 aspect ratio, and choice of components.
- Processors: Options here range from next-gen processors like Intel up to Core Ultra 9 386H and AMD to older models like Core Ultra 9 275HX and Core i5-14450HX.
- Graphics: Customizable with Nvidia GeForce RTX 5050, RTX 5060, or RTX 5070 laptop GPUs, all having 8 GB of GDDR7 VRAM.
- RAM: Up to 32 GB of DDR5-5600 MT/s.
- Display: Four options including a 2.8K OLED display with 120 Hz VRR and 1,100 nits HDR brightness.
- Storage: 1 TB PCIe Gen 5 SSD.
- Keyboard: White or 4-zone RGB backlight options with numeric keyboard.
HyperX Omen 16
The standard Omen 16 comes back with a number of configurations and an improved cooling system.
- Processors: Configurable with Intel Core Ultra 7 365H or Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX supported by other next-generation Intel and AMD options.
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 or RTX 5070 laptop GPUs.
- RAM: Up to DDR5-5600 MT/s 64 GB. Sitting is only possible on AMD SKUs as per HP.
- Displays: Four display options, including 2.5K/165 Hz OLED and 2.5K/240 Hz IPS panels.
- Storage: PCIe Gen 5 SSDs are restricted to AMD SKUs while Intel models use PCIe 4.0 drives.
- Cooling: AUX Omen Tempest Cooling system, newly designed, enriched heat pipe.
- Battery: 70 or 83 Wh, with support for charging up to 330 W.
At this time, HP has not confirmed pricing or a release date for the Omen 15 and Omen 16 models.
