LG to Unveil Gram Pro AI Laptops with Exaone 3.5 at CES 2026
LG Electronics has declared about introducing ultra-light new LG Gram Pro AI laptops in CES 2026. The new models will integrate LG's own Exaone 3.5 generative AI model for local processing along with extended battery life.
On-Device AI Capabilities
The 2026 LG Gram Pro AI laptops are powered by Exaone 3.5, a large language model developed by LG's internal AI research unit. Having the ability to execute a myriad of AI functions on the laptop, largely powered by this train of thought, the Exaone model injects freedom from cloud connectivity.
Highlight about this is My Archive-creating a personal database from files stored on the user's computer-and thus enabling the local search which can generate AI responses based on the user's own data.
Lightweight Build and Battery Life
The new laptops still do a good job of adhering to the Gram series' portability. Key physical and performance characteristics include:
- Material: The Gram Pro series is made of a next-gen material called Aerominum, found mostly in the aerospace industry.
- Weight: For the 16-inch Gram Pro Model, it rests at 1,199 grams, that is, 1.199 kg.
- Battery: The 16-inch carries a 77Wh battery and offers up to 27 hours on a single charge.
- Fast Charging: A 30-minute charge gives the laptop over nine hours of battery life.
Upcoming Models and Release
Starting January 6, LG plans to introduce seven models of new LG Gram laptops into the South Korean domestic market. Among the announced models in this release are the LG Gram Pro AI, LG Gram Pro 360 AI, and LG Grambook AI.
This move comes after the July 2025 release of the two Gram Pro models (16Z90TR and 17Z90TR), powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 series 2 chipset, with a dedicated Nvidia RTX 5050 GPU.
