Tuxedo InfinityBook Max 16 Gen 10 Linux Laptop Announced
The Tuxedo Company has announced the InfinityBook Max 16 Gen 10, a brand-new 16-inch laptop made for Linux distributions like Tuxedo OS and Ubuntu 24.0. The device boasts a sturdy aluminum chassis and, at 0.9 inches thick, is now available for preorder starting at €1,899.
Core Specifications and Performance
The base unit for the InfinityBook Max 16 Gen 10 features the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060. The laptop also supports RAM up to 128GB.
- CPU: Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 (100W TGP + 15W boost). NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 is also an upgrade.
- RAM: starts at 16GB and is configurable to 128GB.
- Storage: The storage consists of a standard 1TB PCIe 5.0 SSD. There's also a secondary M.2 2280 slot using PCIe 4.0 for expansion.
Display Options
The customer can choose between two display panels for the 16-inch model:
- Standard Display: 2560 x 1600 resolution with a refresh rate of 300Hz with a maximum brightness of 500 nits.
- OLED Display (optional): For an additional €120, an upgrade to an OLED panel with a resolution of 2880 x 1800 is possible. Peak luminosity at 400 nits, 120Hz refresh, and extremely high contrast ratio. Available weight of this option goes down to 4.63 lbs.
Design, Connectivity, and Battery
Designed for user-friendliness with excellent connectivity options.
- Battery: 99Wh battery is used, screwed in for easy replacement.
- Network: Wi-Fi 7 and wired Ethernet up to 2.5 Gbps.
- Ports: Thunderbolt 4 interface, USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 2 with power delivery, HDMI, Mini DisplayPort 2.1, and a card reader go with the device.
- Audio: Built-in stereo speakers.
Pricing and Availability
Preorders are now live for the Tuxedo InfinityBook Max 16 Gen 10 through the manufacturer, priced from €1,899. By the end of January 2024, the availability of the laptop will happen, along with the first deliveries starting from early February 2024.
