Nacon Files For Insolvency and Internal Studios Enter Judicial Reorganization Process to Secure New Funding

Nacon Declares Insolvency While Spiders and Cyanide Studios Begin Judicial Reorganization to Protect Game Development Projects and Seek Financial Recovery

The Nacon company and its Major Internal Studios have started their pre bankruptcy process. Nacon has officially declared insolvency after experiencing major financial difficulties which affected its entire corporate structure. The French publisher filed the necessary legal documentation on March 25 2026 to enter a state of judicial reorganization. The organization uses this strategy to prevent its business from collapsing by suspending all financial duties until the executives find ways to secure funds for upcoming business needs.

The financial situation will affect Spiders Cyanide and other internal teams within the organization. The parent company has filed for insolvency protection which affects all of its major development studios. Studios such as Spiders which created the Greedfall role playing series and Cyanide the team behind the Styx stealth action games have also submitted pre bankruptcy statements. The Kylotonn and Nacon Tech units have suffered damage which represents most of the publisher’s creative work during the previous ten years.

The individual studios which existed before now operate as part of the judicial restructuring process. The legal structure provides developers with a temporary period to acquire funding or to locate a buyer as the gaming industry faces widespread economic challenges. The teams create niche action and adventure titles which attract dedicated followers who enjoy their gaming experiences despite their limited budgets compared to major industry blockbusters.

The immediate priority for Nacon is to stabilize its balance sheet and secure the necessary investment to continue its ongoing projects. The judicial reorganization allows the company to pause its debt payments while it negotiates with creditors and potential investors. The process serves as the last option to save all business assets from total destruction while keeping employees active during the transition period.

The publisher needs to deliver a recovery plan within the next months to determine its success in overcoming the current crisis. The industry is watching closely as the future of several respected franchises remains uncertain during this period of transition. The creators of Greedfall and Styx must wait for the legal proceedings to finish before they can decide whether to resume their full production operations.
