SmartSens SC5A6XS One Inch Optical Sensor Details for Premium Mobile Devices Including 50MP Resolution and Advanced Lofic HDR 3.0 Video Features
SmartSens launched its first one inch optical sensor SC5A6XS which the company developed for use in top end mobile devices. The latest hardware delivers 50 megapixels of resolution through its 22 nanometer manufacturing process which produces high quality images. The sensor features 1.6 micrometer pixel size which enables effective light and detail capture across different lighting situations.
The SC5A6XS introduces Lofic HDR 3.0 technology as its most important technological improvement. This system achieves 115 decibel peak dynamic range which enables it to maintain visual detail throughout all brightness levels in one frame. The system provides strong video support through its ability to record 4K resolution content at 60 frames per second in high dynamic range mode while standard recording reaches 120 frames per second maximum.
The manufacturer implemented SFCPixel technology to improve sensitivity and ensure high quality results when shooting in low light conditions. The system includes total pixel focusing together with phase detection auto focus which enables fast subject tracking during both photography and filming activities. The sensor consumes 11 percent less power when it operates in high dynamic range modes than previous hardware versions which demonstrates its improved efficiency.
The SC5A6XS will enter mass production starting from the second quarter of 2026. The company has revealed the technical specifications but it still needs to announce which smartphone models will use this one inch sensor in their camera systems. The industry anticipates upcoming flagship devices to include this hardware as mobile photography capabilities will reach new heights through manufacturer improvements this year.
