Lenovo Legion Y960 Gaming Headset Launching May 19 With True 7.1 Channel Surround Sound And Specialized Multi Driver Audio Engineering
The Lenovo Legion Ecosystem will expand through the introduction of Y960 audio products. The Chinese market will experience a significant product launch from Lenovo on May 19 2026. The company announced that its upcoming launch will begin with premium audio accessory products after its initial focus on returning tablets and handsets.
A central highlight of the announcement is the Legion Y960 gaming headset. The Lenovo device will have a 7.1 channel audio setup according to official promotional material from the company. The hardware setup uses three separate drivers in each earcup which makes it different from other systems.
Each side will have one 40mm unit and two 20mm units, which will create a multi driver system. The system uses multiple drivers to create a true surround sound experience which exceeds the limits of common virtual sound systems.
Lenovo is also highlighting a proprietary technology known as the six unit voiceprint perspective. The new technology which the manufacturer developed will make vocal sounds and dialogue become clearer during gaming gameplay. The headset housing shows Legion branding which users can see from the earcup design.
The design includes a headband which can be adjusted to fit different users while its padding system provides comfortable extended usage. The existence of physical multi unit drivers indicates a path to premium audio development.
Lenovo uses a specialized headset event to provide its audience with complete hardware solutions. The company will announce more specific information about system performance and global distribution plans before the product launch on May 19 2026.
