In addition to launching several newer models, Lenovo has just refreshed its line of professional laptop computers with the new iteration of the ThinkPad X13. Lenovo released official details about the computer with the launch notice. According to the description provided by Lenovo on their official product page, the computer is designed for structural durability and exceptional portability on business trips. The computer comes with an embedded ThinkPad keyboard and trackpoint navigation system. This is an essential ThinkPad feature that has been designed to improve the input experience for business users. The machine has undergone the standard military MIL STD 810H durability testing procedures so that business travelers have peace of mind knowing that it is rugged and capable of enduring harsh physical environments.

The machine is equipped with new internal processing power in the form of the latest generation AMD Ryzen AI 7 445 processor and 32 GB of RAM. This system can be fitted with 512 GB or 1 TB of fast solid state storage which offers extremely competitive options for the business market. The 13.3 inch screen has a built in anti glare coating and has an image resolution of 1920x1200 pixels. This business machine produces up to 400 nits brightness and filters out the harmful blue light portion of the spectrum, ensuring eye strain is minimal. It is also capable of outputting images across 100% of the sRGB color spectrum.

The physical design is very thin as the laptop measures only 16 mm from top to bottom and it weighs in at exactly 1 kg. Situated just above the screen there is a forward facing webcam. It supports Windows Hello facial recognition for quick, secure biometric login and there is a built in ThinkShutter to physically block the lens for users concerned about privacy. A 54.7 Wh battery will power this system.

As with previous generations, there is no compromise to the selection of physical ports available to connect to. The laptop features 2 Thunderbolt 4 ports, 1 USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type A port and an HDMI 2.1 port alongside the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack. This means business users can plug in high speed storage and presentation devices without requiring additional adapters.

The newest generation of the ThinkPad X13 is officially on sale within Europe and pricing for the base model begins at €1,399. The laptop is being targeted towards the corporate fleet market as well as sole professionals that are on the hunt for a lightweight yet durable and extremely potent work machine.
