OPPO Pad 6 and Pad Air 5 Tablets Specifications Revealed Plus Innovative Bubble Magnetic Selfie Screen Launching May 26

OPPO have been releasing a slew of promotional teasers for their 3 new hardware products with a launch event scheduled for the 26th of May. Some of these reveal a glimpse of the specifications and design of their new Pad 6 and Pad Air 5 tablets and have also announced a unique peripheral by the name of Bubble which acts as a portable, small screen for smartphones. The teasers reveal the company's efforts to further bolster their ecosystem with a focus on both professional high performance productivity tools, as well as creative add ons for devices.

The specifications of the OPPO Pad 6

OPPO Pad 6

The flagship device OPPO Pad 6 uses a 12.1 inch IPS display, which outputs a 3K resolution at 144Hz. It also sports a 7:5 aspect ratio display designed to make productivity tasks more space efficient due to more vertical screen real estate. Under the hood the device is powered by a Dimensity 9500s processor. For endurance it is powered by a 10420mAh battery and supports fast charging of 67W. The Pad 6 maintains a thickness of just 5.99mm and the device weighs in at around 577g even with all the components. The Pad 6 will be available in three different colors at launch including gray blue and silver.

OPPO also teased their secondary Pad device, the Pad Air 5 which, while having the same size and aspect ratio 12.1 inch IPS display as the previous device, will output at 2.8K and will be refresh rate limited to 120Hz. This hardware uses a Dimensity 7300 Ultra processor and has a 10050mAh battery. Unlike the Pad 6 the charging speeds are limited to 33W for this device. Although this isn't a completely new device, it does represent the inclusion of a white color option to the Pad Air 5 family.

The most unusual add on we've seen teased so far is the OPPO Bubble which is essentially a portable selfie screen for a smartphone. Attaches to the back of the phone using a magnetic fitting, it's primary use case is to allow you to easily view what's in front of the primary camera for high quality selfies. However, it's features also allow you to customize and display emojis and images so that it can also serve as a decorative feature to your phone when not being used for taking pictures. Full details and pricing for both the tablets and the Bubble add on will be released at the end of the month at the premiere.
