Saber Interactive Announces Hitman Classic Trilogy Remastered

Saber Interactive Hitman Remastered Trilogy Brings Classic Stealth Games to Modern Hardware with Graphical Updates and New Features

Saber Interactive announced that they are planning to release a remastered compilation of the early stealth games that made Hitman the franchise it is. The upcoming package brings the foundational titles which were developed by IO Interactive to modern consoles PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam. The collection lets players relive the beginning days of Agent 47 while updated to the modern technical requirements, still keeping the core gameplay intact.

The compilation consists of Hitman Codename 47, Hitman 2 Silent Assassin and Hitman Contracts. The developer team wants to preserve the old player driven mechanics and dark, grim atmosphere while implementing substantial graphical upgrades to all 3 titles. All character models, environment details, and the high resolution textures in each location will be visually enhanced for modern, sharper visuals.

One of the new, game altering feature being added to the package is a quick toggle for instant graphics. This option enables players to switch back and forth between the old legacy visual style and the updated modern remaster graphics while playing. The compilation also features its own, dedicated photo mode so players can halt gameplay in its tracks and photograph Agent 47's deadly precision up close. Players will have access to the old stealth and disguise gameplay in all 3 missions while exploring various approaches to take down targets.

The press release from Saber Interactive mentions how this game follows a successful list of classic remasters the company has been producing. Saber Interactive has a history of porting, or upgrading, other classics and significant franchises such as Tomb Raider I III Remastered, Tomb Raider IV VI Remastered, Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver remasters, or contributing to Halo Master Chief Collection. This experience with legacy titles has helped Saber Interactive make sure that all original physics and mission logic of the Hitman trilogy would be kept intact.

The bundle of 3 Hitman games is scheduled to be released on PC via Steam and modern consoles PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Digital stores have opened the title up for wishlisting. More gameplay information and development updates will be released through Saber Interactive's official social media on Twitter and TikTok.
